S-C Lady Tigers take down Nevada, 25-18, 25-21

SC-Nevada-7The Smith-Cotton Lady Tigers notched off their first conference win against a tough Lady Tiger Nevada team 25-18, 25-21.

The Lady Tigers are now 3-0 overall this season. Abby Knight led the team with 11 kills and 4 blocks.

Courtney Koetting added 14 assists, 3 aces, 3 kills and 5 digs. Brittany Borke had a strong defensive performance with 9 digs. Montana Hedrick had 2 kills, 4 digs, 1 block and 1 ace.

Tori Jacobi added 5 assists, 2 blocks and 2 aces. Fernanda Alexander had a great serve-receive game.

It was a good team performance by the Tigers, noted coach Koetting.

The Junior Varsity lost their match 28-26, 25-18 and the freshmen fell to Nevada as well.
