S-C boys to compete at Independence

SCFierceTiger.BadgeNEW.jpegThe Smith-Cotton boys swim team will be competing in the 2014 Independence Boys’ Swimming and Diving Invitational Sept. 12-13 at the Dr. Robert L. Henley Aquatic Center, 18200 East M-78 Highway, Independence. The swim meet is under the direction of Truman High School.

Schools participating include: Barstow, Belton, Blue Springs, Blue Springs South, Columbia Battle, Columbia Hickman, Columbia Rockbridge, Kearney, Lee’s Summit, Lee’s Summit North, Lee’s Summit West, Liberty, Liberty North, Marshall, Oak Park, O’Hara, Park Hill, Park Hill South, Pembroke, Platte County, Raytown, Raytown South, Ray-Pec, Rockhurst, St. Joseph LeBlond, St. Joseph Central, Sedalia, St. Pius, Truman, Van Horn and William Chrisman.

The diving events will take place on Friday with competition starting at 4 p.m., with the remainder of the events taking place on Saturday starting at 10:15 a.m. Admission is $5 for adults.
