Hinton is a 6-6 sophomore from St. Louis. He played his freshman year at Lindenwood University in St. Charles for Head Coach Brad Soderberg. He played in 18 games for the Lions, averaging 5.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest. Hinton scored in double figures three times during his freshman season.
Hinton played high school basketball at Hazelwood Central for head coach Josh Martin. He averaged a team-leading 12.2 points and grabbed 5.4 rebounds during his final campaign and was named first-team all-conference as a senior.
“Marcus is gifted athletically and fits our playing style,” said head coach Kevin Thomas. “He shoots the ball well. We expect him to provide leadership since he’s already played at the collegiate level for a year.”
Planincic is a 6-11 freshman from Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. He played basketball at the Athlete Institute Basketball Academy in Ontario, Canada.
“He is a skilled player who shoots the ball well,” said Thomas. “He can put the ball on the floor. As he gets stronger, I think he’ll have a very high ceiling.”
