Egner crowned 2014 Miss Pettis County

Kandas-1Kandas Nicole Egner, 18, daughter of Mitchel and Beverly Egner, Sedalia is your 2014 Pettis County Queen.

She was crowned by 2013 Queen Kasey Keim Thursday, July 10 on opening night of the 2014 Town & Country Fair in Smithton. Egner is a 2014 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. Her talent was a dance number. She will go on to compete in the Missouri State Fair Queen contest Aug. 7-8.

The other two competitors were McKenzy Ann Kennedy, 20, Sedalia; and Paige Taylor Staus, 17, Sedalia. Kennedy was named first runner-up, while Staus was named Miss Congeniality.

The pageant was under the direction of former Miss Pettis County Anne Townsend. Townsend emceed the event, along with Lauren Berube. Photos by Randy Kirby, Sedalia Weekly Observer.
