• Zumba Fitness® will meet from 5-30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays for eight weeks beginning July 1 in the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center, Room 222. This class offers an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party™. All levels welcome. Bring water and a towel. Cost is $39; instructor is Dana Thompson.
• The Motorcycle Basic Rider Course scheduled for July 11-13 has been cancelled. It will be offered again Aug. 22-24 on the Sedalia campus. The class meets from 6-10 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The course is geared toward beginning or re-entry riders and has a list of requirements. Instructors are certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and the Missouri Motorcycle Safety Program, and the cost is $199.
• Yoga will be offered in two different four-week sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning July 15 at the McLaughlin Building, 515 S. Ohio. One session will meet from 4-5 p.m. and the other from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Yoga is designed to strengthen the cardiovascular system, tone and stretch muscles, calm the mind, and improve balance, flexibility and reflexes. Students should bring a mat and wear comfortable clothes. Cost is $39 per four-week session; instructor is Irene Renauld.
• Yogalates will meet from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays for four weeks beginning July 15 at the McLaughlin Building, 515 S. Ohio. Yogalates is the fusion of yoga and Pilates. It provides stretching and strengthening of all major muscles as it calms the mind and spirit. The exercises and postures are easily modified for all levels of fitness. Students should bring a mat and wear comfortable clothes. Cost is $39; instructor is Sue Guffin.
Students who enroll in three or more fitness classes will receive a 15 percent discount.
