Betty Lou Barber, 82, of rural Warsaw, Missouri, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at the Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Warsaw.
She was born September 5, 1931, in Windsor, Mo., the daughter of William Stone Warren and Ila Mabel (Coffey) Warren. On November 28, 1952, in Harrisonville, Arkansas, she married Wain Barber and he survives of the home.
She worked at the Windsor International Shoe Factory for several years and later worked at the Levi’s Factory in Sedalia. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting, but her greatest love was taking care of her family and home. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Windsor.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, Darrel W. Barber, Jefferson City, Mo.; and Ricky Lee Barber, Wichita, Kan.; a daughter, Connie Sue Hays, Warrensburg; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Williams, Green Ridge, and Wanda Dotson, Poway, California; four nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 20 at Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Pastor Justin Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor.
