Area students honored by CMU

CMUFAYETTE (06/05/2014)(readMedia)– Central Methodist University has announced its Academic Achievement Award recipients for the Spring 2014 term, and it includes students from the area.

To earn such recognition from CMU’s College of Graduate and Extended Studies, the student must be enrolled full time and have earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester, noted Dr. Rita Gulstad, CMU Provost.

Students also must possess at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average at CMU, Gulstad noted. Area students honored by CMU include:

Leslie Allen, Dirk Apsher, Kaela Brown, Yuliya Chernish, Oksana Chobanu, Justin Furnell, Brooke Garretson, Whitney Hawk, Samantha Henley, Roxana Himes, Jamey Meyer, Courtney Price, Ashley Schlender, Kayla Skaggs, Lacey Woodland, all of Sedalia.

Since its founding in 1854, CMU has evolved into a university that confers master’s, bachelor’s and associate’s degrees through programming on its main campus in Fayette,  and through extension sites located across Missouri and online.
