State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunner Adella Randle-EL has signed with Sacramento State University, a Division I school in Sacramento, California. She helped lead the Lady Roadrunners to a 42-19 record in her two seasons at SFCC.
“Sacramento State is bringing in Adella as a point guard,” said Lady Roadrunners head coach Kevin Bucher. “They also like her shooting ability and think she will provide a scoring threat for them as well. They are extremely excited to have her.”
Randle-EL averaged 9.7 points and 2.3 assists per game as a sophomore. She earned All-Region 16 First-Team status twice during her career at SFCC. As a sophomore she helped SFCC earn a trip back to the Division I Women’s Basketball national championship, only the fourth time in program history for the Lady Roadrunners. SFCC also won the Region 16 regular season and tournament championships and a district championship, finishing the season with a 21-9 record.
Randle-EL made an immediate impact during her freshman campaign at SFCC, averaging 10.8 points, a team-leading 2.7 steals and 2.9 assists per game. She helped her team to a 21-10 record while starting in 26 games as a freshman.
“We are excited and happy for her,” said Bucher. “We wish her the very best, and we’ll be following her progress at Sacramento State.”
