Residents receive honors at William Jewell College

WilliamJewelTwo Sedalians were honored at the Celebration of Honors held Friday, April 25 on the William Jewell College campus in Liberty.

Ashley Nicole Stees was selected to Mortar Board, a national senior honor society demonstrating the ideals of leadership, scholarship, and service and received an Oxbridge medallion, signifying successful completion of an honors program of tutorials and examinations, adapted from the educational method of the great English universities of Oxford and Cambridge, through which a small number of selected outstanding students pursue areas of concentration with emphasis on independent reading, writing, and critical analysis

Katharine F. Woolery received the Hilltop Monitor Award for Excellence in Journalism and was selected to Mortar Board, a national senior honor society demonstrating the ideals of leadership, scholarship, and service
