Over 500 flags receive proper retirement

FlagRetirement-1The 40 & 8 Veterans Association’s annual Sedalia Memorial Day Picnic was held Monday, May 26 at Liberty Park.

The event included a US flag retirement ceremony, which involved the proper disposal of well over 500 flags that were torn, battered or faded.

John Ezell, Missouri State Fair Idol winner and Carnival Cruise Line entertainer, was the musical guest.
