Gremlins advance to District finals

sacredheartThe Sacred Heart Gremlin baseball team beat Lone Jack Monday night 12-8 to advance to the Class 2, District 15 finals at Windsor on Tuesday, May 20.

Kolin Brace was the winning pitcher, throwing four innings and allowing six runs. Chance Spangler came on in the 5th to help close out the game. Ben Smeltzer, Spangler and Garret Strange each had two hits a piece for the Gremlins.

Sacred Heart (20-1) will play Concordia (9-7) in the championship game, which starts at 6 p.m.

Concordia beat Smithton, 13-12, in the semifinals.
