Directed by Connie Homoly, Show Me Sound Chorus not only competed but was the first chorus to enter a new Open Division created by Sweet Adelines International to be included in all Regional competitions.
The new division was designed to give choruses the opportunity to demonstrate their entertainment skills. Competitors in this division have 10 minutes to complete their entertainment package which must contain one song or medley appropriate for use in a Sweet Adelines competition and at least one other song and emcee work with a microphone. This division will help choruses to fine tune their acting and their on-stage persona.
Show Me Sound members who acted as emcees were Bev Shoecraft and Liddy Miller.
Show Me Sound Chorus is a women’s a cappella choir performing four-part barbershop style music. Weekly practice is held at Wesley United Methodist Church in Sedalia on Tuesday nights beginning at 6:30 p.m. –Submitted.
