Cindy Holmberg, a technologist in the Cardiology Department, recently was named Bothwell Regional Health Center’s 2013 Employee of the Year. She was selected from among the 12 employees of the month from 2013.
In her written nomination, Holmberg’s co-workers wrote: “Cindy creates the Bothwell vision. She is the best choice for exceptional care. She lives the Bothwell mission on a daily basis.”
A model employee who skips breaks and sometimes lunch to ensure patients receive the best care possible in a timely manner, Holmberg demonstrates an outstanding willingness to help patients and co-workers. She often volunteers to conduct additional diagnostic tests she is trained to do in order to help others.
A Bothwell employee since 2003, Holmberg is responsible and accountable. When a doctor needs a test performed immediately, Holmberg works the patient in, sometimes doing two to three more tests than scheduled that day.
“Whenever I have a question, I always go to Cindy first,” co-workers wrote. “We trust Cindy and her expertise. She treats everyone with the same respect, and we are proud to be her co-workers.”
Holmberg was selected from a field of 11 other Bothwell employees of the month to capture the honor of Employee of the Year 2013 during Hospital Week. Other employees of the month included Alice Felden, Rehabilitation Services; Brenda Estes, Materials Management; Cynthia Glenn, Bothwell Home Health & Hospice; Dawn Madden, Orthopedics; Christy Williams, Case Management; Wendy Fairfax, Pharmacy; Sonja Sapp, Women’s Health; Julie Snow, 3 Southwest; Melanie Davis, Rehabilitation Services; Kathy McMullin, Environmental Services; and Kim Franklin, Bothwell Internal Medicine.
