Peace Officers Memorial Day to be observed by State

US-MoFlag-HalfStaffIn accordance with Missouri State Statute 9.120, all flags at State and government offices will be flown at half-staff, statewide on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from sunrise to sunset to commemorate the sacrifices of the federal, state, county and municipal peace officers who have been killed or disabled in the line of duty.

In addition, by order of the Governor, with the interment of former Governor Joseph Teasdale having now occurred, all flags of the United States and the flag of Missouri at all State and government offices, statewide, shall be raised to full-staff, effective immediately until May 15.
