In the absence of Jean Gallagher, Rita Hogan stated the program for the next meeting would be a presentation from Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington. Lt Col Darren Fitzgerald, Commandant, will tell us about cadet life, academics, and traditions of the school.
Barbara Rohr introduced our program, You Can Draw, presented by Jodie Hirsch. Jodie shared many drawings and discussed her method teaching art. She primarily has classes for seniors in both the Sedalia and Warrensburg Senior Centers and at Winchester Meadows.
Betty Sue Viterna announced the new dishwasher had been installed. She asked for volunteers for the docent program or cookies for the Open House during the Scott Joplin festival .
She also announced the closing luncheon for May 19 would be catered by the women of Wesley Methodist Church. The menu will include appetizers, three-layer ribbon sandwiches, raspberry and pea salads, followed by peanut butter or pumpkin chiffon dessert.
Betty Sue said the Executive Board had voted to accent the proposed Revision of Constitution that was handed out to members and will be voted on at the next meeting.
