Smithton FBLA attend state leadership conference

State 2014Members of the Smithton R-VI Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter attended the 2014 Missouri FBLA Leadership Conference April 13 – 15 in Columbia.

FBLA is a career and technical student organization for all high school students participating in business programs. Over 3,760 members and advisers representing 450 chapters throughout the state met to elect state officers, transact business of the state chapter, participate in leadership and career workshops, and compete in the state leadership awards program. The 2014 conference was the largest conference in the event’s 56 year history

Delegates representing the Smithton R-VI FBLA chapter in the state competitive leadership awards program were: Mariah Cairer, Accounting I; Sarah Eldenburg, Accounting I and Healthcare Administration; and Emma Wagenknecht, Healthcare Administration. Tara Wirt is the local chapter adviser and accompanied the students to the conference.
