Dorothy Rialti, 75, of Olathe, Kan., formerly of Sedalia, finished her battle with Alzheimer’s and received the gift of eternal life on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014.
On July 7, 1938, she was born to Charles Pfeiffer and Mary (Dick) Pfeiffer in Sedalia. A member of the Sacred Heart High School class of 1956, she spent most of her life in Sedalia as an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She was an accounting clerk and worked at Mike O’Connor Chevrolet, W. J. Menefee Construction and Sacred Heart School over the course of her career. Her true devotion was to her family, both immediate and extended. She was dedicated to serving them and helping others.
Survivors include three sons, Brian (Crystal) Rialti of Lee’s Summit, and Gary (Delora) Rialti and Terry (Debbie) Rialti of Olathe, Kan. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kaylen Ward, of Lenexa, Kan., Brennan, Gannon and Kyra Rialti of Lee’s Summit and Ava and Anna Rialti of Olathe, Kan.; one brother, Richard (Beverly) Pfeiffer; and two sisters, Ruth Rialti, of Sedalia and Rose Leidolf, of Bloomington, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Rita (Pfeiffer) Tippie.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 24 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Prayers of the rosary will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday with visitation to follow from 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Sacred Heart School, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
