David Gene Bower, age 53, of Sedalia, died on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his home.
He was born on Sept. 22, 1960 in Sedalia son of Eugene and Gloria Elkins Bower. He was married on Sept. 11, 1998 in Sedalia to Christine Eschbacher and she survives of the home.
Bower graduated from Green Ridge High School in 1978. He served for 12 years in the Army, one of the years in Korea and three years in Germany. He worked for several local companies including Pro Energy and Inter-State Studio as a electrician. He was a member of American Legion Post 642 in Sedalia.
He is survived by his parents; Eugene and Gloria Elkins Bower of Sedalia, his wife; Christine Bower of the home, four sons; David G. Bower ll of Sedalia, Justin Beavers of Colorado, Kyle Bower of Sedalia, Barry Closser of Rolla, one daughter; Michelle Beavers of Colorado, one brother; Brian Bower of Sedalia, one sister Cheryl Callahan of Cole Camp, two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Hayworth officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday.
Memorials may be given to American Legion Post 642. There will be full military honors at the service by American Legion Post 642 and V.F.W. Post 2591. Cremation will follow the service.
