“Tonight we didn’t hit as well as we have been. We let the umpire’s strike zone get to us and didn’t recover. Green Ridge played solid defense and Sam Unkel pitched well like she always does. La Monte didn’t take advantage of opportunities they were given and ultimately it cost us the game.
“The Vikings played hard and I’m proud of their effort we just have to do the little things and take advantage of opportunities when they are given to us. Next week we play in Windsor on Wednesday and host Smithton on Thursday before heading into the District tournament,” commented Dabecka Kirk, La Monte R-IV softball coach.
