Two arrested in drug-related STING operation

Badge-PD-2On April 16, 2014 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Detectives with the Sedalia Police Department’s STING Drug Enforcement Unit were conducting surveillance of a residence in the 1600 Block of E 4th St. During the course of the surveillance, Detectives observed a silver vehicle pull up to the residence, at the same time Aaron W Argenbright (DOB 12/27/1980, Address 1616 E 4th Street) exited the residence and walked to the vehicle. Detectives witnessed activity consistent with a hand-to-hand drug transaction between Aaron and a person in the vehicle, later identified as Jeanie M Parish (DOB 09/27/1978, Address 108 E Douglas Street, Syracuse, Mo., 65354). Aaron then walked back into the residence and the vehicle left.

Detectives observed traffic violations and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Jeanie was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. In addition, she had an active warrant. She was arrested.

Detectives returned to the residence in the 1600 Block of E. 4th Street and made contact with Aaron, at which point he was also arrested for various drug charges and an active warrant.

Through investigation, Aaron and Jeanie were charged with the following State-level Offenses:


Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Meth) within 2,000 feet of a School

Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Active/confirmed felony warrant from Pettis County for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Bond is $5,000 cash surety; court date is TBD.

Active/confirmed misdemeanor failure to appear warrant from Morgan County for a Traffic Offense. There is no bond on this warrant; court date is 05/20/2014.

Both Aaron and Jeanie were transported to the Pettis County Jail. Aaron was placed on a 24-hour hold, while Jeanie was booked/released.
