Mock crash graphically illustrates dangers of impaired driving

Crash-22Northwest High School students witnessed a mock car crash on Thursday at Pettis County R-5 High School in Hughesville. Students served as ‘victims’ in the crash scenario, which involved personnel from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, Pettis County Fire Department, Pettis County Ambulance District, Pettis County Coroner, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Air Evac Lifeteam.

The students viewed a video before being brought outside to the ‘accident scene.’ The students later heard from Sheriff Kevin Bond. Photos by Randy Kirby, Sedalia Weekly Observer.
