Baseball Grems score 14-5 victory over Windsor

sacredheartThe Sacred Heart baseball team improved to 10-0 (4-0) with a 14-5 victory over Windsor Tuesday night. Kolin Brace was the winning pitcher for Sacred Heart. He gave up 4 earned runs on 7 hits with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts in 5 innings.

At the plate, Sacred Heart kept swinging a hot bat with 5 hitters in the lineup having multi-hit games. Garret Strange provided a lot of the offense early, he singled home Clint Spangler and Caleb Tanguay on the first inning. In the second inning, Strange sent a 1-0 fastball over the left center field fence for a 3-run homer. On the day, Strange was 2-3 with 2 walks and 5 RBIs.

Mason Kelchner and Caleb Tanguay each had big days at the plate as well. Kelchner went 2-3 with a single, a double, 2 walks, and 4 RBIs. Tanguay was 4-5 at the plate with 3 singles, a double and 3 RBIs.

Jackson Smith and Ben Smeltzer each went 2-5 to at the top of the order to set the table for Strange and company to drive runners home.

The Grems take on Santa Fe on the road Monday. They travel to Cole Camp on Tuesday and Lincoln on Thursday, April 24.
