Mustangs split two on the road

MustangLogoNorthwest went 1-1 in two games played in Tuscumbia on Saturday, April 12.

In the first game, Northwest beat Jamestown 9-6.

Chandler Crosswhite got the win, throwing 5 innings, giving up 5 runs (all earned) on 6 hits, walking one and striking out 2.

Cortlen Austin was 2 for 4 with a homerun and 4 RBIs.

Alex Brockman was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs.

In game two, Northwest lost to Tuscumbia 9-4.

Trey Green took the loss, throwing 5 innings, giving up 7 runs (2 earned), walking 5 and striking out 6

Cortlen Austin was 3 for 3 with an RBI.

Daniel Blaylock and Chandler Crosswhite both went 1 for 3 with an RBI each.

After the two games, Northwest now has a record of 7-3 on the season.
The Mustangs play Green Ridge at home on Tuesday.
