Sacred Heart beats Vikings, 15-1

sacredheartSacred Heart beat La Monte Thursday night at home in 5 innings by a score of 15-1 to improve to 9-0 on the season.

Brendan Volcko was the winning pitcher throwing a complete game and only allowing 3 hits with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts.

At the plate, Ben Smeltzer was 3-3 with 2 singles and a double for 3 RBIs with 2 stolen bases and 2 runs scored. Michael Hohne was also 3-3 with 3 singles for 2 RBIs. He also had 2 stolen bases and 3 runs scored. Clint Spangler went 3-4 at the plate with 2 singles and a double for 3 RBIs. Chance Spangler went 2-3 with a single and a double and Caleb Tanguay went 2-4 with a single and a double for 2 RBI.

Sacred Heart’s next game will be Tuesday against Windsor at Centennial Park at 4:30.
