S-C explodes in fourth, overtaking Lancers for 9-7 win

SC-Lancers-1The Smith-Cotton baseball Tigers exploded in the fourth inning with eight runs Friday at Dey Field at Liberty Park Stadium, where S-C went on to lick the Lafayette Lancers, 9-7, in the West Central Missouri Baseball Tournament, hosted by Sedalia and Warrensburg.

S-C also beat Marshall later in the evening, 11-4.

Final tournament results showed that Lafayette was the big winner in the Black Pool with 3-1, plus 21. Blue Springs South was tops in the Gold Pool with 31.  Oak Grove was the winner in the Red Pool with 31. And Boonville was on top in the White Pool with  3-0.
