“The Lady Vikings found their bats tonight with 27 total hits for the team. We’ve been struggling at the plate lately and tonight we started to see the ball better and got back to being patient and waiting for pitches that they could hit well. We put the ball in play and we were aggressive on the base paths. We still had a few fielding errors tonight but we are getting stronger in the field as well. Madison is pitching well and the defense is working hard to back her up. ”

Sacred Heart did a good job of hitting the ball hard and forcing the defense to do their job and they stepped up to the challenge tonight. We kick off the Kaysinger Conference tournament as the #5 seed and will play #4 Northwest at 11:00 Saturday morning,” commented Dabecka Kirk, La Monte R-IV head coach.

The Lady Vikings travel to Crest Ridge on Monday.
