Windsor Chamber sponsors Spring Event at Farrington Park

DSCN2107The Windsor Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring an “Open the Door to Welcome Spring” event at Windsor’s Farrington Park. Fifteen displays, incorporating the use of a door, have been set up at Farrington Park to help welcome spring to Windsor after a cold winter. These exhibits will be on display until March 30 for the public to view. Admission to Farrington Park is free.

Judging took place on Monday, March 17 by two non-event participating Windsor Area Chamber of Commerce members, with awards being issued for Best of Show and the top three places in the categories of community organization, business, and family.

The Best of Show Wreath and First Place Community Organization Award went to the Petal Pushers Garden Club. Second Place Community Organization Award was issued to the State Fair Community College Horticulture Club. First Place Business Award went to the Windsor Senior Center. Second and Third Place Business Awards were issued to Wanda’s Bookkeeping and Tax Service and Treasures By The Aker respectively. First Place Family Award went to The Gnuschke Family. Second Place Family Award was issued to The Bob Fosnow Family, and the Third Place Family Award was issued to Bill and Gloria Fosnow. –Submitted.
