S-C JROTC wins at Forsyth

Drill meet 2014On Saturday, March 8, 2014, the Smith-Cotton JROTC Drill Team competed in Forsyth, Missouri against several teams from the Midwest. The drill team placed 1st overall in the Armed Division and brought home a total of ten trophies. Forsyth Drill Meet was the last meet of the season before the team competes nationally in Louisville, Kentucky and Daytona Beach, Florida.

The drill team received 1st and 2nd place in armed platoon regulation; 1st in armed exhibition; 2nd in armed color guard, armed squad regulation, unarmed exhibition, unarmed color guard, and unarmed squad regulation; and 1st in new cadet squad. Congratulations to the members of the Smith-Cotton Drill Team.

The Drill Team will be departing to Louisville, Kentucky on April 3, 2014, and looks forward to bringing home national champion trophies. HOOAH!!!
