La Monte student serves as P.E. teacher for the day

IMG_20140307_113239_490Keely Elwell (light blue shirt) received the top honor of being “P.E. Teacher For The Day” at La Monte Elementary Friday. She raised $50 in donations for the Hoops For Heart Program in February.

This was the highest amount brought of donations brought in. She got to teach at different levels today. She first started with preschool, junior high, fourth grade, and finally finished teaching her younger sister’s first grade class.

“The students knew not to mess around when she was watching them in class, She had a fun day being able to be in charge,” commented Drew Burris, P.E./Health PreK-8, Elementary A.D., Varsity Soccer Coach and JH Boys Basketball coach at La Monte R-IV School. Photos submitted.
