Debbie Fairfax croppedDebbie Gail Jones Fairfax, 59, of Green Ridge, died Monday, March 3, 2014 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Born June 28, 1954 in Sedalia, she was the daughter of Lester Earl Jones, Jr. and Eleanor (Bohling) Trent. She is survived by her children, Michelle Fairfax (Pepper Smith), and Jimmy Fairfax, Jr. (Amber), all of Sedalia; two brothers, Rick St. Cyr, of Sedalia and Jerry St. Cyr, of South Korea; six sisters, Colette St. Cyr, of Jefferson City, Julie Hopper, of Columbia, Kay Keele, Holly Thomlinson, Jenny Ramey and Suzanne St. Cyr, all of Sedalia; two grandchildren, Jacquelyn and Raegan Fairfax, of Sedalia; her companion of 22 years, Thomas Ryan, of the home; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Lester and Laura Jones; and a brother, Gary Jones.

She was raised and educated in Sedalia. She was affectionately known as “Nana” by her family. She was known to be an excellent cook, and she enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved animals and watching her favorite Soap Operas, or “Soapies.”She was a very cheerful person and was great at bringing smiles to peoples’ faces.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Betzen officiating.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Jon Christiansen, Lance Hopper, Bo Rodriguez, Clayton Campbell, Thomas Ryan and Junior Ryan.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Prayers of the rosary will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with visitation to follow until 7:30 p.m.

Memorial donations are suggested to the family, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
