Two are hurt in vehicle crash

MSHP-logo11Two people suffered minor injuries at 8:34 a.m. Feb. 20 in Johnson County when a 2001 Freightliner and a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu collided on Highway 50.

Hurt were Jashua A. Landgrebe, 25, Warrensburg, driver of the Freightliner, and Michael A. Lawrence, 38, Warrensburg, an occupant in that vehicle.

According to preliminary reports from the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when the Freightliner went off the right side of the road, over-corrected, returned to the road and began to skid into the Chevrolet’s lane of travel. It collided with the left rear of the Freightliner and went off the road into a ditch, while the Freightliner, which then went off the road and hit an embankment, the patrol said.

Landgrebe was taken to the Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment, but Lawrence reportedly did not seek treatment.
