La Monte R-4 students raise money for ‘Hoops for Heart’

Hoops for Heart 2014La Monte R-4 Elementary students recently raised $134.16 this year for Hoops for Heart.

They had nine students bring in donations this year. Keely Elwell raised $50 for the most donations and will be receiving the prize of “Teacher for the Day” next month. The donations go to the American Heart Association for research on individuals who have suffered from heart disease, heart attacks and strokes.
