Robotics-11Smith-Cotton’s Team SCREAM hosted a robotics scrimmage Saturday at Horace Mann Elementary School for several area teams to try out their creations on a playing field similar to one found at competitions, explained Michael Wright, S-C Engineering and Technology Education instructor and head coach of Team Scream.

Remote-controlled robots picked up light weight spheres that are then moved into position and tossed over a goal post. Actual competition involves three-on-three robot action, Wright noted. Teams on Saturday came from other Missouri schools in places like Camdenton and Independence.

Wright noted that Team SCREAM has about 40 members. Photos by Randy Kirby, Sedalia Weekly Observer.
