americanflagHarry E. Dietzfeld, 71 of Claremore, Okla., formerly of Sedalia, died on Dec. 10, 2013 surrounded by family at the Veterans Hospital in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was the son of John (Wes) and Erma Ditzfeld.

He graduated from Smith Cotton High School, served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from American Airlines as a mechanic..

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his son, Joseph E. Dietzfeld Claremore, Okla., brother George Ditzfeld, sisters, Viola May (James), Carolyn Woods (Charles), Norma Johnson, Sedalia and Bonnie Hrdlicka (Robert) of Independence, Mo., Grandsons Joseph Ditetzfeld, Justin Dietzfeld, and Jonathan Dietzfeld, Claremore, Okla.

Since retiring in 1992 he enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and playing golf with friends.

He was cremated by the Cremation Society in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A “Celebration of Life” will be held in the spring in Sedalia.
