SCFierceTiger.BadgeSqThe Smith-Cotton freshmen boys basketball team staged a frantic fourth quarter comeback but came up short Tuesday night as Harrisonville posted a 37-29 win at Smith-Cotton High School.

The Wildcats held an 11-3 lead after the first quarter; the Tigers’ points all came on free throws by Kendall Weymouth. The Tigers stepped up their offense, but still trailed at halftime, 22-15. A series of Wildcats turnovers in the fourth quarter helped the Tigers cut the lead to six points, but that was as close as they would get.

Zion Buckner led S-C with 12 points, while Zach Morrison added 9. The Wildcats’ high scorers were Izack Jordan with 11 and Morgan Selemaea with 10.
