Kevin L. Kempf, 40, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at his home.
Born July 31, 1973 in Mena, Ark., he was the son of Orval and Ruby Eigsti Kempf , who survive of rural Hughesville. On March 21, 2002 in Hotchkiss, Colo., he married Lillian Garretson and she survives of the home.
Also surviving are two sons, Dallas Kempf and Devin Kempf both of the home; a daughter, Kensi Kempf of the home; two brothers, Ollie Kempf and Arlie Kempf both of Sarasota, Fla.; five sisters, Retha Kempf of Hughesville, Rosella Hostetler of Sedalia, Ruth Hostetler of Mena, Ark., Mirriel Packnett of Hughesville and Mary Kempf of Hughesville and also numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by a stillborn sister, Rebecca Kempf.
Mr. Kempf was a member of the Olive Hill AM Church, He worked as a chicken and dairy farmer all his life and also operated a lawn care service.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. at the Olive Hill AM Church in rural Sedalia. Burial in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.. Friday at the Olive Hill AM School.
