Ruth (Neimeyer) Dale spent most of her career in the Sedalia School System as an elementary teacher. After retirement, Dale served on the SSDF Board of Directors before becoming the Administrative Assistant for the Foundation for the past nine years.
“I will truly miss being in the office and talking on the phone and keeping in touch with alums all over the nation. I have great memories of working with wonderful men and women on the board, some who tirelessly spent hours, sweat, and tears to see the goals of the group become a reality,” Dale said. Indicating that the Foundation has personally touched her life in very special ways, Dale plans to stay connected with education as she will continue to tutor local students.
“We are impressed with the work that Ruth has done. She has worked tirelessly to build a remarkable database of alumni and endeavored to earn and keep public support for the students and staff of the Sedalia #200 schools said Deidre Esquivel, SSDF board president. Esquivel noted, “The Foundation Board has built stronger relationships in the community through Ruth’s efforts to keep friends and alumni connected through our quarterly newsletter. Our board thanks Ruth for her years of service to the Sedalia School District Foundation and wishes her well on her new journeys.”
The board will begin recruitment for a new employee immediately. Paula Schupp, a current board member, will act as the interim administrative assistant. Schupp is very active in the Sedalia 200 District, and she looks forward to meeting Foundation supporters.
Dale expressed what a joy it has been to be a part of such a worthy and wonderful organization, and to encourage “Keeping Education a Priority” in Sedalia.
