Sacred Heart math students successful at Pilot Grove

Jr_High_SpeechSacred Heart Junior High Speech students Summer Caton, Jaxson Dillard and Joseph Webster earned ribbons, two of which were the highest ribbons awarded — for their solo performances at the Bellarmine Speech League meet at St. Joseph School in Pilot Grove. Caton earned a red ribbon for her serious piece “I wanna say something about parents.” Dillard earned a blue ribbon for a humorous piece called “Kinnergarden.” Webster earned a blue ribbon for the humorous speech called “The Guide.”

The Gremlin Number Crunchers walked away with first place overall team wins, for the Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior math relay teams that recently competed in Camdenton. The Grems took first place in a six-school division, scoring a total of 380 points. The 2nd place finished came in with 98 points.

Katherine Freels – 3rd top student

10th grade team – 1st place


Mason Kelchner – 3rd top student (tie)

11th grade team – 1st place


Jason Hwang – Top Student (tie)

Erin Holt – 2nd top student (tie)

Ky Oh – 3rd top student

12th grade team – 1st place

Mixed Team Open – 1st place
