New Score returns from Rock Bridge competition with trophies

NewScore.Trophies.0121Members of Smith-Cotton High School’s New Score Singers display the trophies they won Jan. 18 at the Rock Bridge High School show choir competition, S-C’s first competition of the year. New Score competed with 16 other 4A and 5A choirs, taking second place and earning the designation for Outstanding Closer.

Women’s groups, including S-C’s Cabaret, and 1A through 3A schools comprised a second division. Six choirs, including New Score, advanced to the finals from the two groups, and New Score took third place.

Broadway Velocity, S-C’s freshmen group, also performed at Rock Bridge. The next competition is Feb. 1 at Pleasant Hill. Photo courtesy Sedalia School District 200.
