He was born July 6, 1930, in Mt. Judea, Ark., a son of the late Ernie C. and Rebecca (Smith) Foster. In April 1958, he married Imodean Miller, who survives.
He worked heavy construction for Local Union 663 until his retirement. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He loved bluegrass music, dancing and attending bluegrass shows.
He is survived by four children, Teresa Miller (David), of Windsor, Ricky Glen Foster and Mark Foster (Angela), all of Sedalia, and Bob Foster, of Columbia; five grandchildren, Brandon Foster, Lindsey Foster, Seth Miller, Jennifer Miller and Josh Miller; and four step-grandchildren, Jordan, Brittney, Tabra and Kyler Allen.
He was preceded in death by five siblings, Boyd Foster, Dallas Foster, Lillian Wyatt, Dennis Foster and Wanda Faye Foster.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ted Francis officiating. Burial will follow in Knob Noster Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
