She was born Nov. 28, 1929, in Buhl, Alabama, daughter of James Jefferson and Flora Lee Sellers Reynolds. On Aug. 19, 1955, in Prattville, Alabama, she married Daniel M. Highsmith, who died Dec. 30, 1995.
Pearl owned and operated the Bali-Hi Motel from 1967 to 1975. She was a housewife and mother, and enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Surviving are a daughter, Tammy Kendrick, and husband, Monty, of Sedalia; grandsons, Danny and David Stewart, of Akron, Ohio; granddaughter, Trista Kendrick, of Sedalia; sister, Mattie Hill, of Tampa, Fla.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Johnny Lou and Ed Hunt, of Sanford, Fla.; and two stepsons, Danny Highsmith, and his wife, Helen, and Mike Highsmith, all of Jacksonville, Fla.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Trudy Firth.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 28, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Jeff Page, Funeral Celebrant officiating.
Memorial contributions were suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter.
