Erin Warner led in scoring with 11, Cathy Butts had six rebounds. Vada Demotte had three assists and Madison Harris had three steals.
“We came out & played two good quarters out of the four. I had to remind the girls that when calls don’t go your way … you have to keep playing your game and stay focused. That means continue working hard to make every pass, challenge every shot, crash every board, etc. Lincoln came out ready to play and they were a scrappy team.
“The girls turned it on a bit in the fourth quarter, and we’re finally getting girls to “step-up” & be “voiceful” leaders, instead of no one ever saying anything to anyone. I was pleased by the manner in which they responded. Erin Warner was our player of the game and continues to improve her inside presence, both offensively and defensively.
“We gotta come out and play four solid quarters tomorrow night & beat Leeton by a bigger margin than just two points. We’ll see how well the girls respond to a bad game versus Leeton in the Mid State Conference Tournament,” commented head coach Manuel Lujan.
