Applications for the City of Sedalia’s 2013 Christmas Light Contest were due at the Mayor’s office by noon today, Dec. 9, 2013.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of participants, the City will not be able to hold its Christmas Light contest this year. “We encourage our citizens to sign up for the 2014 Christmas Light contest so we may continue this over-32-year tradition,” city officials said.

The 33rd annual contest, sponsored by Xi Beta Upsilon, chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, with the assistance of the Mayor and the City Council, was originally announced Nov. 15.
