Lois Davis

Lois Lee Davis, 58, of Cole Camp, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at University of Missouri Hospital, Columbia. She was born on July 15, 1955, in Independence, a daughter of Arthur & Imogene (Davis) Anderson. Lois was raised in Apache Junction, Arizona, until she moved to Cole Camp in 1986.

In January of 1988, she was married to Michael Dale Davis. They made their home in rural Cole Camp, where they raised their five children, Nicole Melinda, Rickie Nicole, Frank Lee, John Michael and Melissa Jean.

She worked many years as a contract telephone splicer. She enjoyed working and took great pride in the work she did.

She devoted her entire life to her family and friends. She truly loved with her whole heart and anyone who knew her, also knew this about her.

She enjoyed the many adventures that she and her husband Mike experienced with their best friends, Duke and Karen Paxton, including driving the countryside on their Harley Davidsons. She, her husband, Duke and Karen organized and participated in many fund-raisers to help underprivileged children receive Christmas presents on Christmas morning, including the Toy Run earlier this month. She also enjoyed fishing with her sons and grandsons, planting her garden, and working in the yard. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces, Karen and Jessica Tyler, along with her daughters, granddaughters, and daughter-in-laws.

The greatest passion in her life was being a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother. Her children were everything to her.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Davis; three daughters, Nicole Murray and her fiancé Hank Kronk of Sedalia; Rickie Pickrel & husband Josh of Knoxville, Ill.; Melissa Davis of Gladstone; two sons, Frank Aiuppa & wife, Heather of Warrensburg; John Davis & wife Kayla of Stover; eleven grandchildren, Kristina and Alan Murray, Ryane, Sydney, Zachary and Jaycobe Kronk, Havyn and Huntlee Aiuppa, Parker Davis, and Riley and Madison Pickrel; a great grandson, Coleson Lewis Williams, who was born the day she went on to heaven, a sister, Artha Boyd of Cole Camp; a brother, Loyd Anderson of Lincoln; many nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Imogene Anderson, her grandparents, and a sister, Janet Lavon Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp, with Pastor Johnny Medlock officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, rural Cole Camp.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Davis, Milburn Davis, Austin Davis, Tom Craig, Mark Williams, Scott Williams, Alan Murray, Zachary Kronk and Jaycobe Kronk.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Salvation Army and Mt. Olivet Cemetery in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.
