BRHC Auxiliary reports for November

Carol Ackerman, Virginia McAllister, Betty Sue Viterna, Ruth Kerr, Joyce Monroe and Karen Kay Taylor attended the Missouri Association of Hospital Auxiliaries Nov. 6-7 at Tan Tar Resort. They reported a very informative meeting. Joyce Monroe was installed as the Parliamentarian for the association. The project for the association for 2014 will be children with special needs and disabilities.

Vickie Perry announced she had held orientation for three new members. The Auxiliary patch will now be given to members at the orientation instead of when they have worked 25 hours.

The Auxiliary will no longer be staffing the outpatient desk.

Awards for the month of October are: Sandy Boman/200 hours, Marge Watson/400,Carey Gutjahr/600, Mary Buckley/700, Mary Stober and Janice Williams/1,000, Jack Blackwell/2,000, and Betty Blackwell/3000 hours. A total of 1,332 volunteer hours were worked October 2013. A new style of pin is being purchased.

The board once again discussed the Appearance Standard procedure and sent it back to the committee for further revision.

Many events are scheduled for December. On  Dec. 4 the Moonlight Madness Sale is from 8 p.m. until midnight; on Dec. 11 i the Sunrise Sale from 6 to 9 a.m.; the  Community Blood Drive is Dec. 10, and the BRHC Blood Drive is Dec. 20.
