Sacred Heart’s Junior High Bellarmine Speech League has gotten off to an excellent start. All of the five members that competed in the Tipton speech meet at St. Andrew’s on Nov. 2 have earned ribbons.

Emma Wilhelm & Sadie Rollings earned a blue ribbon for their duet, “Now Hear This”; Joe Webster earned a blue ribbon for his humorous speech, “Why Shopping Should be an Olympic Sport”; Joseph Lovvorn earned a blue ribbon for his serious speech, “Faith”; Grace Goodwin earned a red ribbon for her humorous speech, “Laundry: It’s a Dirty Job but I Love to do it.”

Sacred Heart earned the most blue ribbons out of the nine schools competing, said Kerry Henley, Sacred Heart Junior High Bellarmine Speech Coach and Business Education Teacher. –Submitted photo.
