S-C Booster Club donates $250,000 to stadium project

Sedalia School District 200 board members, administrators and coaches gathered with bingo players and past Bingo board members before Saturday night’s games as the Smith-Cotton Athletic Booster Club board presented Superintendent Brad Pollitt with a $250,000 donation for the Smith-Cotton Stadium at Jennie Jaynes Complex project.

The booster club saved the money over the past decade through proceeds from its weekly Bingo games, now held in the former cafeteria at Smith-Cotton Junior High. Thanks to the booster club and the bingo players for this generous donation A ground-breaking ceremony for the new stadium will be held at Smith-Cotton High School Friday at noon.
