Two people were treated for minor injuries at Bothwell Regional Health Center Saturday afternoon after a two-vehicle collision occurred at Cedar Drive and Reine Ave., the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.

The accident occurred at 12:36 p.m. when an eastbound 2000 Dodge driven by 28-year-old James I. Smith, Sedalia, pulled into the path of a northbound 2005 Kia driven by Rebecca L. King, 53, Nelson, at the intersection. The Kia struck the Dodge in the passenger side, totaling the Kia and causing moderate damage to the Dodge.

King was transported by private vehicle to BRHC, while a passenger in the Kia, 10-year-old Logan Davis, was taken by Pettis County EMS to Bothwell. Both suffered minor injuries, the patrol report stated. Both King and Smith were wearing safety devices.

Sedalia Police assisted with the investigation.
