Terrence James “Terry” O’Donnell, 72, of Sedalia, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at his home.
He was born Oct. 13, 1941, in Kansas City, Mo., son of William C. and Geraldine T. Cain O’Donnell. On March 20, 1971, in Kansas City, Mo., he was married to Jinny Cox, who survives of the home.
He was a salesman for Lone Star Industries and later Ash Grove Cement. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, where he was president of the Parish Council and was very involved in the ministry of the church. He enjoyed golfing and playing cards with his friends. He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan. Terry was a National Guard veteran. He loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of 42 years, survivors include three sons, Tim O’Donnell, and his wife, Alison, of Shawnee, Kan, Kevin O’Donnell, and his wife, Micaela, of Kansas City, Mo., and David O’Donnell, of Ketchum, ID; a granddaughter, Olivia; and a sister, Mary Fern, and her husband, Jim, of Overland Park, Kan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kellie Virginia O’Donnell.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church, with Father Mark Miller officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Sacred Heart Church or School.
