Lady Mustangs kill Greyhounds in two

The Northwest Lady Mustang volley team beat the Sweet Springs Greyhounds in two sets on Oct. 21, 25-16 and 25-22.

In the first set, the Lady Mustangs combined for six kills, three serve aces and 14 digs to pull ahead 25-16. Northwest’s Tori Shireman accounted for two of the kills, two aces and two digs. Teammate Kendall Walk provided one kill and five digs. Alyssa Durrill provided one kill, one serve ace and one dig for Northwest. Lakota Wiskur provided five digs of her own to help ensure a Northwest win in set one.

In the second set, Northwest combined for five kills, three aces and an impressive 26 digs to pull ahead 25-22 in a close set. Tori Shireman was very productive on the floor with two kills and 13 digs. Kendall Walk provided one kill, three aces and two digs. Northwest’s Jessie Ehlers added five digs to their total.

Both Alyssa Durrill and Lakota Wiskur provided three digs each to help speed Northwest to another win.
